Panic selling of the U.S. dollar now underway as debt system implodes
(NaturalNews.com) To most Americans it's unthinkable that the U.S. dollar could someday be relegated to second-class status as a currency, but what they may not realize is that the transition is already underway.
Reports this week marked the dollar's continued slide - it reached a 16-month low against the euro and slid to a historic low against the Swiss franc on Tuesday - while at the same time predicting something we've been telling you for years now, namely that the dollar is on its way out as the world's reserve currency.
Impossible, you say? Think again. Signs of the dollar's imminent collapse are everywhere.
Look at the economic and investment juggernaut that is China. Beijing's economy has been growing in leaps and bounds and as such used to be the largest holder of U.S. dollars, because, as the world's reserve currency, our dollar was the most stable. But China's place was recently overtaken by our more traditional Asian ally, Japan, as Beijing has begun instead to divest itself of the dollar.
The U.S. was once known as the world's richest nation, but these days we have the dubious distinction of being the largest debtor in the history of the world. China, meanwhile, has become our largest creditor.
So, what does all that mean in real terms? Well, it means that as more countries and investors flee the dollar, the faster it will begin to devalue. We're already seeing the effects of that in higher energy prices - oil is priced in dollars, after all, and when it falls, it takes more of them to buy the oil.
And, of course, higher oil prices mean higher gasoline prices (the average price nationwide at the beginning of this week was $3.858 a gallon); higher gas prices mean it is costing more to get products and commodities to the market, which means we pay more for them in the checkout lane. As this cycle perpetuates, inflation will skyrocket and the dollar's value will plummet.
There's one more indicator that the dollar is growing weaker - the meteoric rise in the price of gold and silver.
In the meantime, the sea of government red ink continues to grow, already at more than $14 trillion. The plan in Washington to fix this vicious cycle? Simple. Print more money.
The U.S. dollar is in trouble. The cycle is underway. The smart money says the age of America is over.

Medically ignorant school officials traumatize young boy
Medically ignorant school officials traumatize young boy
(NaturalNews) A young "special needs" boy from Queens, NY, recently bore the wrath of public school officials when he began acting up over a mismatched color on an Easter egg he was painting during class. Young Joseph Anderson asked for his mother, Jessica, after becoming visibly upset, and school officials proceeded to call her. But reports say that before Jessica was able to arrive at the school to pick up her son, officials had already called the police, who came and handcuffed Joseph, loaded him in an ambulance, and shipped him off to a psychiatric facility, claiming he was a "danger" to the other students.
A UK Daily Mail report states that the seven-year-old boy had previously been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and that he also speech problems and emotional issues that affected his moods. He had also had previous psychiatric evaluations over his behavior. But Joseph's mother insists he is not a threat, and that what the school did was over the top and highly inappropriate.
"Why handcuff him?" she is cited as asking. "Why get the cops involved? He's only seven."
She went on to add that Joseph is now petrified of ambulance noises, and that he runs and hides every time he hears them or sees a police officer. She also says Joseph is constantly wetting his pants, throwing up, and running to hide under his bed whenever these trigger events occur.
"He's really traumatized," said Jessica. "I don't let him watch the news any more, because if he sees cops, he cries. They (school officials) know that my son is special ed. It's like they're trying to get rid of him, and it worked because I'm not sending him back there."
Officials deny allegations that they acted inappropriately, and a New York Police Department (NYPD) officer defended the actions as well, claiming that the child was "acting in a threatening manner," and was a "danger to himself and others in the classroom."

Court files prove Maryanne Godboldo had full legal authority to stop administering dangerous drugs to daughter; CPS raid nothing but illegal kidnapping
Court files prove Maryanne Godboldo had full legal authority to stop administering dangerous drugs to daughter; CPS raid nothing but illegal kidnapping
(NaturalNews) New developments in the case of Maryanne Godboldo -- the Detroit, Mich., woman whose house was recently raided by a SWAT team with a tank, and whose daughter was subsequently kidnapped by these armed terrorists -- are set to hopefully clear the mother of any wrongdoing in the matter (http://www.naturalnews.com/032090_M...).
Recently-released court documents prove that the consent form Maryanne signed agreeing to give her daughter the highly-dangerous anti-psychotic drug Risperdal was optional, and that she was always free to cease using them at any time.
In other words, the raid conducted by state-sanctioned thugs on behalf of Child Protective Services (CPS) was nothing more than an illegal kidnapping by armed terrorists who violated Maryanne and her family's legal, civil, and God-given rights. At this point, Maryanne truly has a fully-validated case against CPS and its criminal cabal, should she decide to pursue aggressive legal action against them. After all, they illegally broke into Maryanne's home and proceeded to kidnap her child without just cause.
The consent document Maryanne signed clearly states that she would "not be forced" to administer the medication, and that her daughter was free to "stop taking it at any time." Maryanne had also consulted with another doctor, who recommended that she stop using the deadly drug and instead pursue alternative options -- which clearly proves that the child was not being neglected as some have accused.
"I think that document proves our case," said Wanda Evans, Maryanne's lawyer in the case. "She understood she had a right to stop giving the medication. If you sign an informed consent that says you can stop, and you stop, you did the right thing, and CPS is just being nasty."
According to reports, Maryanne's daughter, Ariana, is still being held in captivity at a CPS facility in Northville, Mich. Supporters from around the country continue to raise money to help Maryanne's legal battle to free her daughter, and you can help support these efforts by visiting:

Armed agents invade Maxam Nutraceutics and steal natural health products in shocking FDA raid
Armed agents invade Maxam Nutraceutics and steal natural health products in shocking FDA raid
(NaturalNews) Amidst all the destructive activities taking place in our world today that deserve attention, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has decided instead to make it a personal mission to destroy the businesses and livelihoods of those trying to help people through natural medicine.
On Thursday, April 14, 2011, dozens of agents from the FDA, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and the US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted an unprovoked, full-scale raid on Hood River, Ore.-based Maxam Nutraceutics, a company that produces and sells nutritional supplements primarily for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and Alzheimer's disease.
Back in October 12, 2010, the FDA sent a warning letter to Jim Cole, Founder and CEO of Maxam, notifying him that several of his company's products were not labeled in accordance with the US Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act. The letter also stated that Maxam had fifteen days from the receipt of the letter to notify the FDA compliance officer of the specific steps it planned to take in order to correct the violations.
You can view a copy of the FDA warning letter here, complete with the name of the FDA compliance officer to whom Jim and his company were instructed to respond, and the FDA district director who sent the letter:
http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/Enforcemen...
Oddly enough, the vast majority of the "unapproved labels" in question were not actually labels at all. They were merely customer testimonials about the products that had been accumulated over the years from satisfied customers, and posted online alongside product descriptions on Maxam's website. Nevertheless, the FDA considered the testimonials to be marketing violations that automatically rendered the products as drugs.
According to Jim, his company immediately responded to the FDA letter by calling the compliance officer and telling her "it was [the company's] intention to come into full compliance as quickly as possible." This included removing all the offending testimonials from the company website after being told by the FDA compliance officer that they were not permitted.
"I contacted a patent and copyright attorney, and he had written [the compliance officer] a letter that it was our intention to come into full compliance," said Jim, noting that his company responded within two days of receiving the FDA warning letter, long before the 15-day deadline period. "So we took down the testimonials, and we thought that was good. And I hired an FDA copyright person [who] went over all the offending verbiage through the website."
Jim cooperated with every demand that the FDA made of him, and was convinced that all was well. But apparently the FDA had different ideas when out of nowhere, the agency, along with the IRS and the FBI, sent as many as 80 armed, SWAT-style agents to both Maxam headquarters, the company's "Big Gym" training center, and even Jim's daughter's house, to confiscate all the products, company documents, and even personal files and computers.
"They took all our products, all our paperwork, all our files -- we've been doing this since 1992 and they pulled everything," said Jim. "They brought in three big moving vans, they had their guns on, their bullet-proof vests -- they came prepared for war."
The armed agents also stole 27 TurboSonic machines, which is a sound-actuated vibration plate device that Jim invented to stimulate growth plates in the body, improve circulation, energize the lymphatic system, and improve muscle strength. The TurboSonic machines were not even mentioned in the FDA warning letter.
"We also have a big Olympic training center up here called the 'Big Gym' -- they went into the gym, they took all the paperwork, all the computer, hard drives, downloaded all of our servers, and trashed a couple of our servers going out," added Jim. "They took products that were not on the list. I had an old bodybuilding line that went back to 1992, they took all of that. They pretty much just had a free-for-all."
According to Jim, the agents stole "hundreds of thousands of dollars in products" as part of the raid, as well as personal files, insurance policies, non-printed checks, and even unopened packages of manila filing folders from an office supply store. Clearly, the FDA's intent was to terrorize and intimidate this small company that, from all available accounts, did absolutely nothing wrong.
Maxam is currently "waiting for the dust to settle" as it pursues legal action against the offending agencies. Until then, the world must know about this terrible injustice and crime against humanity. The FDA has clearly shown itself to be a terrorist organization that has no respect for the rule of law, or for common decency. To perform a SWAT-style raid against a company that was doing everything it could to follow the law and conduct business honestly and legally is a travesty in this supposed "land of the free."

savethemales.ca - Imaging Expert: Obama Birth Certificate Contains Anomaly
"The following image was released by the White House as a copy of
Barack Obama's actual birth certificate. What can be stated, without a doubt, is that the green texture on this image has been superimposed onto whatever the purported underlying document is. Whoever released this image, edited the image to make it look more authentic by having a "green textured paper" look and feel to it."
First of all, there is no doubt at all that the texture was added.
At some point they are going to admit this. What they will say is that
it was added in order to prevent tampering with it (like its a
watermark). But we'll get to that later.
When you photocopy an image, or take a picture of something which is on
a perfect plane (like a chess board), the transformation (excluding
intrinsic non-linear parameters of a camera) will project a line, into
another line. Ergo, its a linear transformation. The focus is on the
left edge of the document - where its curved. Lets make it simple.
Say its just creased at an angle (so the bars of the texture are on
another plane). You will see the lines of the texture change
direction in the image.
Take a look at this, which is not the birth certificate, but the
"Certificate of live birth"
http://www.factcheck.org/UploadedFiles/birth_certificate_1.jpg
See how the bars are bent at the crease of the paper. This evidences
that the texture is actually ON that paper.
In the birth certificate, the left hand side is curved -as if it was
taken out of a book or the like. So the bars of the texture should
follow the curvature as well. They don't. Which means someone added
the texture after the fact.

Chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing: A-Z - Special investigations | Moneyweb
Chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing: A-Z - Special investigations | Moneyweb
US House of Representatives Committee releases the definitive report.
US House of Representatives Committee on Energy and Commerce releases the definitive report on chemicals used in hydraulic fracturing
This 32-pager, described as the “most comprehensive national assessment to date” commissioned by Henry A. Waxman: Committee on Energy and Commerce; Edward J. Markey: Committee on Natural Resources, and Diana DeGette: Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, constitutes the list of chemical compounds used in fracking fluid (excluding water).
The report covers a five-year period (2005 – 2009) and in it one finds stunners like diesel, benzene and lead amongst others.
Cocktail hour
Despite its comprehensive nature the report is not complete, but a read through it is enough to make your hair stand on end. The lack of completeness is due to some companies still either refusing or unable to submit the constituents of “proprietary” fracking fluids.
“Although some companies did provide information about these proprietary fluids, in most cases the companies stated that they did not have access to proprietary information about products they purchased “off the shelf” from chemical suppliers.”
In other words the companies are injecting fluids containing chemicals that they themselves cannot identify.
Fourteen “leading” fracking companies were called on to give the details which revealed that over 2 500 hydraulic fracturing products contained 750 chemical compounds with more than 650 containing chemicals known, or possible, human carcinogens, or listed as hazardous air pollutants.
“Overall these companies used 780m gallons of hydraulic fracturing products – not including water added at the well site.”
With a market capitalisation of around US$244bn these 14 companies include; Basic Energy Services, BJ Services , Calfrac Well Services, Complete Production Services , Frac Tech Services, Halliburton, Key Energy Services, RPC Inc, Sanjel Corp, Schlumberger, Superior Well Services, Trican Well Service, Universal Well Services, Weatherford International.
If one were to add the interests of Chesapeake, which owns 30% of unlisted Frac Tech Services, then Chesapeake’s market cap is at US$ 21bn.
Total gas company funding – a fracking mammoth US$265bn.
A look through each listed companies 52-week share highs and lows reveals also that there’s a spirit not related to the cocktail which is pushing up the price of these shares. Something reminiscent of the tech stock bubble of Silicon Valley some years back. In most cases share price lows have more than double in the period of one year.
The most widely used chemical in hydraulic fracturing during this time period, as measured by the number of compounds containing the chemical, was methanol which was used in 342 hydraulic fracturing products. Methanol is a hazardous air pollutant.
Some others widely used include isopropyl alcohol (used in 274 products), 2-butoxyethanol (used in 126 products), and ethylene glycol (used in 119 products).
In addition, the hydraulic fracturing companies injected more than 30m gallons of diesel fuel, or hydraulic fracturing fluids containing diesel fuel, in wells in 19 states. The use of diesel fuel in fracturing fluids poses the greatest threat to underground sources of drinking water.

San Francisco votes to allow small-scale commercial farming in residential areas, no conditional use permit needed
San Francisco votes to allow small-scale commercial farming in residential areas, no conditional use permit needed
(NaturalNews) The passage of an urban farming amendment in San Francisco has sparked a wave of joy among backyard farmers from across the Bay Area. The San Francisco Board of Supervisors recently voted to amend the city's zoning code in such a way that now allows backyard growers to freely cultivate produce and sell it without having to purchase a conditional use permit (CUP), which can run upwards of $3,000. And the victory could also help spur many other urban areas to take the same route in allowing urban gardens on residential land.
The San Francisco ruling permits urban farmers with land plots measuring one acre or less to grow produce for commercial purposes, as long as they purchase an urban agriculture permit for $300. While still somewhat costly, the price is only a small fraction of what a CUP would be, and the process of obtaining one involves far less bureaucratic red tape than a CUP does.
Besides simply being able to sell fresh produce, backyard growers will also be able to sell "value-added" items like jellies, herb salts, salsas, and other prepared items. Both for-profit and not-for-profit groups are included as well, and many believe that the new freedom will further expand the scope of community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs that provide regular assortments of fresh produce to local communities.
"Should for-benefit (non-profit) farm projects seek to raise some of their operating funds through sales, including of value-added products, this will now be allowed," wrote Antonio Roman-Alcala in a recent piece at Civil Eats (http://civileats.com/2011/04/14/san...). "This could also open the door for social justice-minded urban farms to create truly green jobs without requiring so much grant funding."
The first phase of a new urban agriculture program in Oakland, Calif., recently took effect as well, permitting backyard growers to grow and sell as long as they have a business license. This law, of course, is beneficial to Novella Carpenter who was recently warned by city officials before the law came into effect that her urban farm was operating illegally (http://www.naturalnews.com/031998_O...).

Exposed: New York health officials ignore own fluoride report, continue to lie about fluoride dangers
Exposed: New York health officials ignore own fluoride report, continue to lie about fluoride dangers
(NaturalNews) Twelve million New Yorkers, 8.4 million of which live in New York City (NYC), continue to involuntarily consume fluoridated water regularly, despite a report issued from the New York State Department of Health (DoH) back in 1990 which warned that the chemical additive is toxic. To this day, many officials not only deny this report, but also falsely insist that "water fluoridated at the optimum level poses no known health risks."
The original report, entitled Fluoride: Benefits and Risks of Exposure, provided a sharp warning to officials that fluoride chemicals are especially harmful to kidney disease patients, diabetics, and those who are hyper-sensitive to the chemical. It also warned that because fluoride puts incredible toxic pressure on the kidneys, those with weaker kidneys are at an increased risk of developing skeletal fluorosis, a severe bone disease marked by symptoms of pain, tenderness and bone fractures.
The toxicity of fluoride is so great that in 2007, the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) withdrew its endorsement for fluoride as a beneficial water additive. The group has stated that "individuals with chronic kidney disease (CKD) should be notified of the potential risk of fluoride exposure."
In 2006, the National Research Council issued a now-famous report that explains how the initial studies used to promote water fluoridation in the first place did not properly assess how fluoride would affect renal (kidney) function. According to that report, those with impaired renal function, or those on hemodialysis, "tend to accumulate fluoride much more quickly than normal." Further investigation into the matter was urged, but was never completed.
"We know almost half of US kids are fluoride-overdosed as evidenced by their fluoride-discolored teeth, or dental fluorosis," said attorney Paul Beeber, President of the NYS Coalition Opposed to Fluoridation, Inc. "What has fluoride done to their bones, glands and organs known to collect fluoride? Are they fluoride-hypersensitive? Without such critical studies, claims that fluoridation is safe for everyone are unproven and groundless."
Legislation currently before the NY City Council would amend the administrative code of NYC to remove fluoride from water. The legislation currently has seven cosponsors, and if passed could spark a much-needed nationwide backlash against water fluoridation (http://www.prnewswire.com/news-rele...).

New warning: dangerous antibacterial soap chemical found in fish
New warning: dangerous antibacterial soap chemical found in fish
(NaturalNews) The current mania over putting anti-bacterial chemicals in everything from cleaning wipes and hand soap to detergent and toothpaste has resulted in the widespread contamination of the environment with two related toxins often found in these products -- triclocarban (TCC) and triclosan.
Never mind that in lab studies these chemicals have been found to disrupt hormones, probably cause cancer and spur the growth of drug-resistant superbugs. The FDA seems to think it's fine and dandy that humans keep pumping these substances into our bodies through contact with skin, and flushing these toxins down the drain into the water table.
At the recent national meeting of the American Chemical Society held in Anaheim, California, scientists sounded yet another warning about the clear and present danger of the antibacterial ingredient TCC -- at least in the aquatic ecosystem. For the first time, scientists have evidence that this endocrine system disruptor is accumulating in fish. The animals encounter TCC as they swim in water that washes down drains and flows out of sewage treatment facilities into lakes and streams.
And, no, this isn't some minor finding. The researchers found TCC has a "strong" tendency to bioaccumulate in fish -- that means the fish take in the substance far faster than their bodies can break it down and eliminate it. Because TCC so strongly bioaccumulates in fish, even minute and seemingly harmless amounts in the water can build up to toxic amounts inside the animals' bodies.
"Due to its widespread usage, TCC is present in small amounts in 60 percent of all rivers and streams in the United States," study leader Ida Flores of the University of California-Davis said in a press statement. "Fish are commonly exposed to TCC, even though much of it is eliminated by wastewater treatment plants."
Dr. Flores soft-pedaled the idea that fish becoming loaded with TCC has much to do directly with human health -- because TCC supposedly doesn't bioaccumulate in humans and certain other mammals. Instead, the human body quickly breaks down, or metabolizes, TCC. That changes it into other substances that are excreted in urine and feces.
However, this skips over several important possibilities. First of all, because TCC is an endocrine disruptor, will fish contaminated with the chemical lose the ability to reproduce, thereby reducing the availability of fish as food?
And if fish contaminated with TCC are eaten, what does that mean for the human body? If TCC is "changed into other substances" by the human body, where is the proof those metabolites are safe for human health?
Dr. Flores noted that unmetabolized compounds, such as dioxins, can't be excreted from the human body -- unlike TCC -- and so they are particularly dangerous to humans. People are exposed to dioxins through the environment and the food chain, including dairy products, meat, fish and shellfish. The World Health Organization (WHO) has warned this exposure can cause reproductive and developmental problems, damage the immune system and may cause cancer.
Unfortunately, although this was not covered by Dr. Flores, other investigators have uncovered a critical connection between an anti-bacterial soap chemical and dioxins. As previously covered in NaturalNews, University of Minnesota civil engineering professor William Arnold and his colleague Kristopher McNeill have published their findings that TCC-related triclosan, when exposed to sunlight, generates dioxins.
And other researchers from the University of Minnesota's Institute of Technology, Pace Analytical (Minneapolis), the Science Museum of Minnesota and Virginia Tech, have documented that triclosan is transformed into dioxins that are accumulating in the environment.
Bottom line: any line of reasoning that downplays the seriousness of environmental contamination with anti-bacterial chemicals is just plain fishy -- and probably dangerous to human as well as animal health.

JB Campbell: Killing Pat Tillman
JB Campbell: Killing Pat Tillman
Today is the seventh anniversary of Pat Tillman’s assassination in Afghanistan. On April 22, 2004 Tillman and several other Army Rangers were given an odd order to split their motorized squad and proceed toward a village called Magarah. The original mission was to recover a broken-down Humvee from a rocky and almost impassable trail through a steep gorge. The Humvee was being towed by a local “jinga” truck, rather than by one of the working Humvees. Tillman and the others got to the village before the guys with the towed Humvee and were waiting for them when three Afghan kids fired an RPG, with an effective range of 250 yards, from 800 yards. It hit on the wall of the gorge and made some noise and loosened up some dirt and rocks. But, no harm done. Nevertheless, the vaunted Rangers lost control of themselves and fired their arsenal of a .50 caliber Browning, 40mm grenade machine gun, .30 caliber machine guns and .223 caliber machine guns plus their small .223 rifles, called M-4s. They fired until they were out of ammo and had to get into their reserve ammo supply.
Tillman and the other guys were watching this show from above. Tillman’s sergeant, Matthew Weeks, ordered him and Bryan O’Neal and an Afghan named Thani to go down on foot closer to the road, which they did. The lead Humvee came within view of Tillman and from a range of about one hundred feet, opened up on him and the two others, killing the Afghan and wounding Tillman after he waved his arms at them not to shoot. They dove behind a couple of one-foot high rocks and O’Neal asked if he was okay. One of Tillman’s legs was severely wounded. He threw a purple smoke grenade to show they were Americans and kept yelling at the nearby Humvee shooters. Both Tillman and O’Neal waved their arms at the Humvee. The Rangers in the Humvees stopped shooting for a minute. Tillman and O’Neal thought it was safe to show themselves.
Tillman identified himself loudly, saying “Hold your fire! I’m Pat f****** Tillman!” Specialist Trevor Alders opened up again with his .223 machine gun and hit Pat Tillman from about one hundred feet away. Now, both Tillman and O’Neal were in the same uniforms as the other Rangers, wearing the distinctive Kevlar helmets, carrying the same M-4 rifles. The Humvee guys knew that the other guys were up ahead and still they did this.
Here’s where it gets strange. The autopsy photos supposedly show three .223 holes in Tillman’s forehead, in a two- to three-inch group. I haven’t seen the photos. It is not possible to shoot a three-inch group into a guy’s forehead with a machine gun from one hundred feet, for several reasons. Number one, high-power rounds do not follow each other single file into the target; they veer off a little from the recoil of the one just before. Yes, once you get the gun settled down from the first few rounds, you can bring it to bear pretty closely but not that closely. A look at the rock next to Tillman’s position with about twenty hits on it shows the shotgun-like spread resulting from the weapons jumping around slightly. A hundred foot range allows a pretty good spread from any machine gun.
Number two, the Kevlar helmet covers the forehead and generally stops the .223 round. Number three, the guy drops from the first hit and you can’t follow him down to put the second and third rounds next to the first hole. Number four, a .223 round to the forehead doesn’t leave any forehead for the next two rounds to put holes in. The only way you can get a group of three .223 rifle bullets so tight is to kill the guy with the first shot and then shoot him again twice more when you get next to him. But three high-power holes in a tight little group? No way.

Names and addresses of ingredients that contain processed free glutamic acid (MSG)
The first essential to coping with MSG is understanding where MSG is hidden -- just in case you would like to avoid it, or would like to begin to understand how much MSG you are able to tolerate without having an obvious adverse reaction.
Everyone knows that some people have reactions after eating the food ingredient monosodium glutamate -- reactions that include migraine headaches, upset stomach, fuzzy thinking, diarrhea, heart irregularities, asthma, and/or mood swings. What many don’t know, is that more than 40 different ingredients contain the chemical in monosodium glutamate -- the processed (manufactured) free glutamic acid -- that causes these reactions. These ingredients have names like maltodextrin, gelatin, citric acid, and sodium caseinate, that don't give the consumer a clue to the presence of MSG.
Important to understanding the cause or causes of MSG reactions is the fact that glutamic acid found in whole, unadulterated, unfermented protein does not cause adverse reactions. To cause adverse reactions, the glutamic acid must have been processed/manufactured or come from protein that has been fermented. A whole, ripe (but not overripe), unfermented tomato will not cause an MSG reaction. Neither will fresh mushrooms.
The following lists of common ingredients that contain processed (manufactured) free glutamic acid are your starting point for coping with MSG. The lists have been compiled over the past 20 years from consumers’ reports of adverse reactions and information provided by physicians, manufacturers, and food technologists.
Names of ingredients that always contain processed free glutamic acid:
(E numbers are use in Europe in place of food additive names.)
Glutamic acid (E 620)
Glutamate (E 620)
Monosodium glutamate (E 621)
Monopotassium glutamate (E 622)

Magnesium glutamate (E 625)
Natrium glutamate
Ajinomoto
Autolyzed yeast
Calcium caseinate
Gelatin
Anything “hydrolyzed”
Any “hydrolyzed protein”
Anything “…protein”
Sodium caseinate
Soy protein; soy protein concentrate; Soy protein isolate
Textured protein
Vetsin
Whey protein; Whey protein concentrate; Whey protein isolate
Yeast extract

Names of ingredients that often contain or produce processed free glutamic acid:
Barley malt
Bouillon and broth
Carrageenan (E 407)
Citrate (E 330)
Citric acid (E330)
Anything “enzyme modified”
Anything containing “enzymes”
Any “flavors” or “flavoring”

Lipolyzed butter fat
most things low fat or no fat

Disodium 5’-guanylate (E 627)
Disodium 5’-inosinate (E-631)
Disodium 5'-ribonucleotides (E 635)
To print this information
A neat, printable table listing the common ingredients known to trigger MSG reactions can be downloaded from www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources_printable.pdf.
Reminder. These are some of the places where MSG resides
Low fat and no fat milk products often contain milk solids that contain processed free glutamic acid (MSG), and many dairy products contain carrageenan, guar gum, and/or locust bean gum. Low fat and no fat versions of ice cream and cheese may not be as obvious as yogurt, milk, cream, cream cheese, cottage cheese, etc., but they are not exceptions.
Protein powders contain glutamic acid, which, invariably, will be processed free glutamic acid (MSG). Individual amino acids are not always listed on labels of protein powders.
At present there is an FDA requirement to include the protein source when listing hydrolyzed protein products on labels of processed foods. Examples are hydrolyzed soy protein, hydrolyzed wheat protein, hydrolyzed pea protein, hydrolyzed whey protein, hydrolyzed, corn protein. If a tomato, for example, were whole, it would be identified as a tomato. Calling an ingredient tomato protein indicates that the tomato has been hydrolyzed, at least in part, and that processed free glutamic acid (MSG) is present.
There is a growing trend toward labeling a product "No MSG", "No Added MSG", or "No MSG Added" when the product actually contains processed free glutamic acid (MSG). Any product labeled in this way should be approached with caution.
Food and fertilizer/pesticide products labeled "organic" are not necessarily free of processed free glutamic acid (MSG). We have recently seen organic maltodextrin, organic soy sauce, flavoring, and yeast extract in Wolfgang Puck Organic Soup; corn starch and citric acid in Muir Glen Organic Classic Minestrone (labeled "No MSG"); and organic corn starch, flavors, organic chicken broth concentrate, organic soy sauce powder, organic corn maltodextrin, yeast extract, flavoring, and organic flavor in Organic Imagine Chicken & Wild Rice Soup.
Disodium guanylate and disodium inosinate are relatively expensive food additives that work synergistically with inexpensive MSG. Their use suggests that the product has MSG in it. They would probably not be used as food additives if there were no MSG present.
MSG reactions have been reported from soaps, shampoos, hair conditioners, and cosmetics, where MSG is hidden in ingredients with names that include the words "hydrolyzed," "amino acids," and/or "protein." Most sun block creams and insect repellents also contain MSG.
Drinks, candy, and chewing gum are potential sources of hidden MSG and/or aspartame, neotame. and AminoSweet (the new name for aspartame). Aspartic acid, found in neotame, aspartame (NutraSweet), and AminoSweet, ordinarily causes MSG type reactions in MSG sensitive people. (It would appear that calling aspartame "AminoSweet" is industry's method of choice for hiding aspartame.) We have not seen Neotame used widely in the United States.
Aspartame will be found in some medications, including children's medications. For questions about the ingredients in pharmaceuticals, check with your pharmacist and/or read the product inserts for the names of “other” or “inert” ingredients.
Aspartame will be found in almost all chewing gum.
Binders and fillers for medications, nutrients, and supplements, both prescription and non-prescription, enteral feeding materials, and some fluids administered intravenously in hospitals, may contain MSG.
According to the manufacturer, Varivax–Merck chicken pox vaccine (Varicella Virus Live), contains L-monosodium glutamate and hydrolyzed gelatin, both of which contain processed free glutamic acid (MSG) which causes brain lesions in young laboratory animals, and can cause endocrine disturbances like obesity and reproductive disorders later in life. It would appear that most, if not all, live virus vaccines contain some ingredient(s) that contain MSG.
Reactions to MSG are dose related, i.e., some people react to even very small amounts. MSG-induced reactions may occur immediately after ingestion or after as much as 48 hours. The time lapse between ingestion and reaction is typically the same each time for a particular individual who ingests an amount of MSG that exceeds his or her individual tolerance level.
Remember: By food industry definition, all MSG is "naturally occurring." "Natural" doesn't mean "safe." "Natural" only means that the ingredient started out in nature, like arsenic and hydrochloric acid. Processing, no matter how toxic the method and/or the ingredients used, is irrelevant to a product being called "natural".

Nevada Senate Bill 412 to establish medical monopoly, squelch natural and alternative medicine
(NaturalNews) A new bill to be presented before the Nevada Senate Committee on Commerce, Labor & Energy, on Friday, April 15, is even worse than the recent SB 31 bill that almost passed unamended in North Carolina (http://www.naturalnews.com/031953_m...). If passed, SB 412 will establish a state-sanctioned "Board of Complementary and Integrative Medicines" in Nevada to control and regulate all natural health care. According to the National Health Federation (NHF), a non-profit health freedom organization, the 47-page bill spells disaster for the natural health community because it will criminalize natural and holistic practitioners who try to operate outside what the state deems worthy of being considered legitimate medicine (http://www.thenhf.com/article.php?i...).

Vermont lawmakers draft amendment to stop corporations from being considered 'people'
Vermont lawmakers draft amendment to stop corporations from being considered 'people'
(NaturalNews) In 2010, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in the landmark case of Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that corporations are essentially the same as people, and are thus free under the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to participate in "electioneering communications," or political advertising and contribution campaigns. But lawmakers from the state of Vermont have put forth a resolution that, if passed, will amend the U.S. Constitution to state that only human beings are persons guaranteed constitutional protections.
The Citizens United case deals with whether or not corporations are free to fund political campaigns and contribute to advertising efforts in the same way that individuals are. Prior to the 2010 declaration, corporate spending provisions had been in place to protect the election system from being dominated and controlled by powerful corporate interests. But all that changed when activist judges decided to overturn these protections for the People.
In a recent dissent before the Supreme Court, Justice John Paul Stevens reiterated the truth about corporations in an effort to draw attention to the absurdity of considering corporations to be the same as human beings.
"Corporations have no consciences, no beliefs, no feelings, no thoughts, no desires," he wrote. "Corporations help structure and facilitate the activities of human beings, to be sure, and their 'personhood' often serves as a useful legal fiction. But they are not themselves members of 'We the People' by whom and for whom our Constitution was established."

Residents Say Sea Turtles Rot on Beaches of the Gulf | Rocky Kistner's Blog | Switchboard, from NRDC
Laurel Lockamy thought she had seen the worst of the oil disaster last summer when waves of oil and tar patties washed onto her beach in Gulfport, MS, taking a major toll on the local tourist industry.
But now a new disaster is unfolding, she says, just as beachgoers are heading back to the water. A large spike in the number of dead sea turtles is being reported across the beaches of the Magnolia State. Residents now find them rotting in the springtime sun along with other animals and birds that float in with the tides.
Laurel has photographed three dead sea turtles on this stretch of sand in the past two weeks. Like other Mississippi residents, she’s never seen one dead—or alive—before.
Earlier this week, Laurel went out to the Gulfport beach with her camera to see if any new turtles had washed in. First she saw a dead armadillo curled up in the sand, along with several other dead birds. But a short stroll later she came across another turtle, decomposing along the water’s edge.

Laurel called the NOAA hotline and the state’s Institute of Marine Mammal Research (IMMR) to arrange a pickup. All turtles in the Gulf are on the endangered species list, and they are protected under federal law.
Over an hour later, she says, a crew from the IMMR showed up, took pictures and measurements, spray painted it with orange paint for pickup, and then left the turtle on the beach. A county beach worker told her they scooped up another turtle not far away and took it to the dump.
“They didn’t do any testing,” Laurel says, “they just measured it, sprayed it and left it on the beach to rot. This is ridiculous. Why isn’t anyone testing them? I’m terrified to go to the beach these days.”

Colgate accused of stealing, patenting ancient Indian toothpaste formula
(NaturalNews) Highly-populated, developing nations like India are the target of many Western corporations because these countries represent a brand new avenue for reaping huge profits. And corporations often unscrupulously hijack the traditions of those countries in the process. The Colgate Palmolive company is one such corporation that is the subject of a legal dispute alleging that it stole an ancient Indian toothpaste formula and patented it as its own.

A new paper shows that consuming genetically modified (GM) corn or soybeans leads to significant organ disruptions in rats and mice, particularly in livers and kidneys. By reviewing data from 19 animal studies, Professor Gilles-Eric Séralini and others reveal that 9% of the measured parameters, including blood and urine biochemistry, organ weights, and microscopic analyses (histopathology), were significantly disrupted in the GM-fed animals. The kidneys of males fared the worst, with 43.5% of all the changes. The liver of females followed, with 30.8%. The report, published in Environmental Sciences Europe on March 1, 2011, confirms that “several convergent data appear to indicate liver and kidney problems as end points of GMO diet effects.” The authors point out that livers and kidneys “are the major reactive organs” in cases of chronic food toxicity.

The pathetic shutdown charade
The pathetic shutdown charade
As the political and media hacks of the alleged two-party system use every means at their disposal to exaggerate the terrifying prospect of a government shutdown, Americans who are the target of this psychological warfare should focus on the fact that the supposedly titanic battle between the Democrats and the Republicans is much ado about almost nothing. Against the backdrop of the real enormity of the public sector's spending addiction, the theatrical pretense of cost cutting from either party reveals itself to be a pathetic charade. As the shutdown looms, the leaders of the GOP (the party that poses as the champion of fiscal discipline and responsibility) dutifully invoke the prospects of electoral disaster and the governing imperative of compromise. They do so in an effort to quell members of their own party's congressional delegation who firmly insist on being true to the promises they made to their constituents.

Radiation exposure - Find protection with Calcium Bentonite Clay
Radiation exposure - Find protection with Calcium Bentonite Clay
(NaturalNews) The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a report recently that highlights the events surrounding the sudden death of Malcolm Casadaban, a 60-year-old genetics and cell biology professor from the University of Chicago (UC) who died just a few hours after contracting the plague from his work with the virus. The event, which occurred in September 2009, represents the first time in 50 years that a scientist was made ill by the plague, and certainly the first time one died from it.
Radioactive material is formed carrying a positive ionic charge. Calcium Bentonite Clay is a negatively charged ion. Simply put, Calcium Bentonite Clay adsorbs and absorbs, capturing positive charged ions. Unlike other clays, only Smectites (Bentonites) can both absorb and adsorb and are characterized by their expandable properties. Radiation is a real health problem. A Living Calcium Bentonite Clay is the real solution.
