Chart reveals insanity of new health care bill

Chart reveals insanity of new health care bill

Representative Kevin Brady (R-TX) and Senator Sam Brownback (R-KS) have put together a new visual chart that helps illustrate the complexity of the recently-passed U.S. health care "reform" bill. The highly-complex organizational chart, which is blanketed in bubbles and lines branching from the Secretary of Health and Human Services, represents a mere third of the massive regulatory and bureaucratic nightmare mandated in the bill.

"For Americans...this first look at the final health care law confirms what many fear, that reform morphed into a monstrosity of new bureaucracies, mandates, taxes and rationing that will drive up health care costs, hurt seniors and force our most intimate health care choices into the hands of Washington bureaucrats," explained Brady about the chart.

You can see a full PDF of the chart here: http://www.house.gov/brady/pdf/Obam...

And the changes are so drastic that all of them couldn't even be fit onto a single chart.

"This portrays only about one-third of the complexity of the final bill. It's actually worse than this," Brady went on to say.

But the chart does capture the $569 billion in higher taxes, the $529 billion in cuts to Medicare, the increase of 16 million Medicaid users, the 17 major insurance mandates and the creation of two new federal bureaucracies given the power to ration care in the future.

According to Senate Steering Committee Chairman Jim DeMint (R-SC), the bill "creates a byzantine network of 159 new federal programs and bureaucracies to make decisions that should be between just the patient and their doctor." And this is clearly seen in the chart's illustrations.
