Obamamobiles may kill Americans 'faster than Iraqi war'

Obamamobiles may kill Americans 'faster than Iraqi war':

"The Obama administration has announced an executive decision to raise the Corporate Average Fuel Economy, or CAFE, standards to 35.5 miles per gallon by 2016, four years ahead of the deadline originally set by the Energy Security and Independence Act of 2007.
And that could mean danger for many Americans.

Steve Milloy, the author of the book 'Green Hell: How Environmentalists Plan to Ruin Your Life and What You Can Do to Stop Them,' has argued that these new Obama administration-imposed CAFE standards 'may kill more Americans at a faster rate than the Iraq War – [President Obama's] signature issue in the 2008 presidential campaign.'

Moreover, by advancing by four years the date for the 35.5 mpg CAFÉ standard to be met, Obama is trying to outdo Jimmy Carter in a move that runs the risk of having his administration being characterized as 'Jimmy Carter II.'"

‘Gender-bending’ fear over plastic drinks bottles

‘Gender-bending’ fear over plastic drinks bottles:

Drink from plastic bottles can raise the body’s levels of a controversial ‘gender-bending’ chemical by more than two thirds, according to tests.

Experts have been concerned about the possible health effects of bisphenol A (BPA) - an everyday chemical used in many plastic food and drink containers and tins as well as clear baby bottles - which is officially classified as toxic in some countries.

A study found that participants who drank for a week from polycarbonate bottles showed a 69 per cent increase in their urine of BPA, which mimics the female sex hormone oestrogen.

Researchers did not say how much liquid was drunk per day"

US Doctors’ association calls for Moratorium on GMO Foods
The American Academy of Environmental Medicine (AAEM) has just issued a call for an immediate moratorium on Genetically Manipulated (GMO) Foods.

In a just-released position paper on GMO foods, the AAEM states that ‘GM foods pose a serious health risk’ and calls for a moratorium on GMO foods. Citing several animal studies, the AAEM concludes ‘there is more than a casual association between GMO foods and adverse health effects’ and that ‘GM foods pose a serious health risk in the areas of toxicology, allergy and immune function, reproductive health, and metabolic, physiologic and genetic health.’ The report is a devastating blow to the multibillion dollar international agribusiness industry, most especially to Monsanto Corporation, the world’s leading purveyor of GMO seeds and related herbicides.

In a press release dated May 19, the American Academy of Environmental Medicine, which describes itself as ‘an international association of physicians and other professionals dedicated to addressing the clinical aspects of environmental health,’ called immediately for the following emergency measures to be taken regarding human consumption of GMO foods:

* A moratorium on GMO food; implementation of immediate long term safety testing and labelling of GMO food.

* Physicians to educate their patients, the medical community and the public to avoid GMO foods"

Satellites to Streamline U.S. Intelligence Agency Narcotics Trafficking Operations

Satellites to Streamline U.S. Intelligence Agency Narcotics Trafficking Operations:

That’s not a misleading headline for those of us who have been paying attention. But then again, how many people have ever of SEASPRAY? This looks like an updated version of SEASPRAY, which is part of how Barry Seal was able to move tons of drugs into the U.S.

It’s helpful to make sure that the Left hand knows what the Right hand is doing when it comes to Uncle $cam’s drug running operations. My guess is that the use of the satellites will make this much easier. The cops are there to bust the upstarts, not the others.

Via: U.S. News and World Report:

From high above the Earth, the U.S. intelligence community is using satellites to track the activities of drug cartels operating along the U.S.-Mexican border.

Pictures from space are being used along with other intelligence to pinpoint Mexican narcotics operations and anticipate smuggling attempts into the United States, said R. Scott Zikmanis, a deputy director of operations with the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency.

Federal officials say an eye in space adds one more tool in an ever-expanding technological arsenal aimed at defending the border from narcotics traffickers, human smugglers and terrorists."

New York Times, NY Press attack conspiracy theorists of ‘New World Order’ film

New York Times, NY Press attack conspiracy theorists of ‘New World Order’ film:

"Infowars
May 21, 2009

The New York Times and New York Press attempt to attack and ridicule Alex Jones and the other ‘ranting conspiracy theorists’ in Luke Meyer and Andrew Neel’s latest doc, New World Order. The papers are, thus, reluctant to embrace the largely objective film itself, perhaps because the “unrelentingly tedious” doc refuses to attack its subjects.

Opens on Friday in Manhattan at the Cinema Village, 22 East 12th Street, Greenwich Village

Premieres on IFC Network May 26 at 6:45 p.m. ET"

Bilderberg Agenda Exposed

Bilderberg Agenda Exposed:

Bilderberg boys are a bunch of grumpy old men but remain fiercely dedicated to usurping sovereignty in the United States and throughout the world. Patriots can celebrate their setbacks but never let up: Bilderberg still threatens the sovereignty of all nations while fighting for world government.

Major goals remain exploiting the global recession and an imaginary “swine flu pandemic” to establish global departments of treasury and health under the United Nations. But at the May 14-17 meeting in Vouliagmeni, Greece, near Athens, Bilderberg took a keen interest in persuading the United States to surrender sovereignty to the International Criminal Court, or ICC.

Bilderberg is also setting up a “summit” in Israel June 8-11 so “the world’s leading regulatory experts” can “address the current economic situation in one forum,” said Zohar Goshen, chairman of a subgroup of the International Association of Securities Commissions (IOSCO). Mary Shapiro, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will represent this country."

“The Odds on the Dollar, Treasury Bonds and the U.S. Government’s AAA Grade All Heading for the Dumpster are Shortening”

“The Odds on the Dollar, Treasury Bonds and the U.S. Government’s AAA Grade All Heading for the Dumpster are Shortening”:
"Washington’s Blog
Friday, May 22, 2009

I’ve written numerous essays on the facts that the dollar is losing its status as world reserve currency, the bubble in treasury bonds may be ending, and the U.S. may very well lose its AAA sovereign credit status.

Bloomberg writer Mark Gilbert addresses all three facts today:

The odds on the dollar, Treasury bonds and the U.S. government’s AAA grade all heading for the dumpster are shortening.

While currency forecasting is a mug’s game and bond yields can’t quite decide whether to dive toward deflation or surge in anticipation of inflation, every time I think about that credit rating, I hear what Agent Smith in the “Matrix” movies called “the sound of inevitability.”

Several policy missteps suggest that investors should stop trusting — and lending to — the U.S. government. These include the state’s pressure on Bank of America Corp. to buy Merrill Lynch & Co.; the priority given to Chrysler LLC’s unions over the automaker’s secured creditors; and the freedom that some banks will regain to supersize executive bonuses by giving back part of the government money bolstering their balance sheets…"

Media Ignores Real Controversy Behind Torture Photos; They Show Prison Guards Raping Children:

"Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com

The real reason behind Obama’s reversal of a decision to release the torture photos has been almost completely ignored by the corporate media - the fact that the photos show both US and Iraqi soldiers raping teenage boys in front of their mothers.

The Obama administration originally intended to release photos depicting torture and abuse of detainees in Afghanistan and Iraq by the end of May, following a court order arising out of a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit first filed by the ACLU in 2004.

However, a reversal of Obama’s decision was announced this week, after he “changed his mind after viewing some of the images and hearing warnings from his generals in Iraq and in Afghanistan that such a move would endanger US troops deployed there,” according to a Washington Post report.

In response, the ACLU charged that Obama “has essentially become complicit with the torture that was rampant during the Bush years by being complicit in its coverup.” The Obama administration has also sought to protect intelligence officials involved in torture from prosecution at every turn.

The primary reason why Obama is now blocking the release of the photos is that some of the pictures, as well as video recordings, show prison guards sodomizing young boys in front of their mothers, both with objects as well as physical rape."

The Bible bill? - Yahoo! News

The Bible bill? - Yahoo! News:

"When the clock strikes midnight on Dec. 31, 2009, Rep. Paul Broun (R-Ga.) hopes you’ll be ringing in “the Year of the Bible.”

It’s probably just wishful thinking.

Broun’s simple congressional resolution aimed at honoring the Good Book has produced a push-back of biblical proportion in the blogosphere, with critics dismissing it as either unconstitutional or a waste of time. Jews in Congress and atheist activists are
dismissing the resolution, while none of the many Democrats in Congress who are Christian have bothered to sign on as co-sponsors.

According to GovTrak.us, the resolution is among the most-blogged-about pieces of legislation, with most posts less than complimentary in nature.

“Does that mean 2009 is not the year of the Bible?” mocked Rep. Barney Frank (D-Mass.), who is Jewish. “What is 2012 the year of? The Quran?”

“That’s an endorsement of religion by the federal government, and we shouldn’t be doing that,” said Rep. Jerrold Nadler (D-N.Y.), even though he has introduced his own legislation dealing with religion.

“Republican lawmakers with apparently too much time on their hands and no solutions to offer the country are pushing a resolution that will not address the nation’s problems or advance prosperity or even untangle their previous governing mistakes,” blogged the Progressive Puppy.

Broun rejects the critiques leveled at this effort."
