Americans warned bank ‘bail-ins’ coming
WASHINGTON – With the United States facing a $17 trillion debt and an acidic debate in Washington over raising that debt limit on top of a potential government shutdown, Congress could mimic recent European action to let banks initiate a “bail-in” to blunt future failures, experts say.
Previously the federal government has taken taxes from consumers, or borrowed the money, to hand out to troubled banks. This could be a little different, and could allow banks to reach directly into consumers’ bank accounts for their cash.
Authority to allow bank “bail-ins” would be in lieu of approving any future taxpayer bailouts of banks that would be in dire need of recapitalization in order to survive.
Some financial experts contend that banks already have the legal authority to confiscate depositors’ money without warning, and at their discretion.
Financial analyst Jim Sinclair warned that the U.S. banks most likely to be “bailed-in” by their depositors are those institutions that received government bail-out funds in 2008-2009.
Such a “bail-in” means all savings of individuals over the insured amount would be confiscated to offset such a failure.
“Bail-ins are coming to North America without any doubt, and will be remembered as the ‘Great Leveling,’ of the ‘great Flushing’ (of Lehman Brothers),” Sinclair said. “Not only can it happen here, but it will happen here.
“It stands on legal grounds by legal precedent both in the U.S., Canada and the U.K.”
Sinclair is chairman and chief executive officer of Tanzania Royalty Exploration Corp. and is the son of Bertram Seligman, whose family started Goldman Sachs, Solomon Brothers, Lehman Brothers, Bache Group and other major investment banking firms.
Some of the major banks which received federal bailout money included Bank of America, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase.
“When major banks fail, they are going to bail them out by grabbing the money that is in your bank accounts,” according to financial expert Michael Snyder. “This is going to absolutely shatter faith in the banking system and it is actually going to make it far more likely that we will see major bank failures all over the Western world.”

Seymour Hersh: Bin Laden Raid “One Big Lie”
Pulitzer-prize wining journalist slams “pathetic” US media for failing to challenge White House

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Seymour Hersh says
that the raid which killed Osama Bin Laden in 2011 is “one big lie” and
that “not one word” of the Obama administration’s narrative on what
happened is true.
In a wide-ranging interview published today by the Guardian,
Hersh savages the US media for failing to challenge the White House on a
whole host of issues, from NSA spying, to drone attacks, to aggression
against Syria.
On the subject of the Navy Seal raid that supposedly
resulted in the death of the Al-Qaeda terror leader, Hersh remarked,
“Nothing’s been done about that story, it’s one big lie, not one word of
it is true.”
Hersh added that the Obama administration habitually
lies but they continue to do so because the press allows them to get
away with it.
“It’s pathetic, they are more than obsequious, they are afraid to pick on this guy [Obama],” Hersh told the Guardian.
The raid that supposedly led to Bin Laden’s death has
been shrouded in mystery for over two years. Speculation that the Obama
administration may have embellished or outright lied about
the true account of what happened has persisted, mainly because the
White House has refused to publicly release images of Bin Laden’s body.
Although the White House said the corpse was immediately
“buried at sea” in line with Islamic tradition, it quickly emerged
that this was not standard practice.
Numerous analysts have
claimed that Bin Laden had in fact been dead for years and that the
raid on his alleged compound in Pakistan was little more than a stunt.
Other questions also persist, such as why the narrative and timeline of the raid has changed multiple times,
why the White House initially claimed that “situation room” photos
showed Obama watching the raid live when in fact there was a blackout on the live feed, and why neighbors in the immediate area surrounding
the compound said with absolute certainty that they had never seen Bin
Laden and that they knew of no evidence whatsoever to suggest he lived
there.
During the rest of the Guardian interview, which is well
worth reading in its entirety, Hersh lambastes the corporate press and
particularly the New York Times, which he says spends “so much more time
carrying water for Obama than I ever thought they would.”
Hersh’s solution is to shut down news networks like NBC
and ABC and fire 90% of mainstream editors, replacing them with real
journalists who are outsiders and not afraid to speak truth to power.
“The republic’s in trouble, we lie about everything, lying has become the staple,” concluded Hersh.

Avoid the zinc deficiency trap - Boost health, resiliency and overall well-being with this one essential mineral
Avoid the zinc deficiency trap - Boost health, resiliency and overall well-being with this one essential mineral
(NaturalNews) Did you know that a zinc deficiency can cause over twenty health related issues including cancer, Alzheimer's disease, infertility and Crohn's disease? An often overlooked mineral, zinc plays an important role in a wide range of functions, such as DNA repair and immunity. It's also an essential nutrient for the prevention of the flu and colds. Luckily, a variety of foods are rich in zinc and several methods are available that enhance absorption.
When an individual is deficient in zinc, it often manifests as frequent colds and infections, suppressed appetite, depression, hindered growth in children and impaired sense of taste and smell. According to the George Matelijan Foundation, adequate zinc intake can help prevent and/or heal the following conditions:
Research at the Linus Pauling Institute (LPI) in Oregon found that zinc deficiency is a widespread issue and can lead to inflammation, decline of immunity, cancer, diabetes, heart disease and autoimmune disorders. It is estimated that around 40 percent of elderly Americans and up to two billion people worldwide are deficient in the micronutrient.
"The elderly are the fastest growing population in the U.S. and are highly vulnerable to zinc deficiency," said Emily Ho, an LPI principal researcher and associate professor. "They don't consume enough of this nutrient and don't absorb it very well."
Carmen Wong, research associate and coauthor of the study, adds:
"We found that the mechanisms to transport zinc are disrupted by age-related epigenetic changes. This can cause an increase in DNA methylation and histone modifications that are related to disease processes, especially cancer. Immune system cells are also particularly vulnerable to zinc deficiency."
Similarly, research published in The Journal of Nutrition states that 12 percent of Americans do not consume enough zinc. The in vitro studies reveled zinc depletion increases oxidative stress and hinders DNA repair. And the publication Biological Trace Element Research found that low zinc levels are directly linked with depression, while a study in Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry discovered adequate zinc prevents osteoporosis. The end conclusion of these studies? Sufficient zinc consumption and proper absorption are absolutely essential for good health.
Vegetarian diets also tend to be high in zinc blocking phytates found in grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Research has shown that fermenting whole grains, as in traditional sourdough bread, significantly increases zinc absorption. Soaking beans, nuts and seeds assists in the bioavalibility of the mineral too. An interesting study in Mexico found that, when vegetarians consumed one cup of milk or a half cup of yogurt twice per day with meals, zinc absorption was 50 percent higher in the milk group and 68 percent higher in the yogurt group.
Additional food-based sources of zinc include lamb, turkey, crimini and shiitake mushrooms, asparagus, chard, pumpkin and sesame seeds, miso, spinach and spelt.
Since overconsumption of zinc can cause deficiency in other nutrients such as copper and calcium, using zinc supplements is not recommended unless under the guidance of a qualified health care practitioner.

Avoiding disease and protecting health
Zinc is involved in a variety of processes within the body, including:- Regulating genetic instructions
- Sensitivity of smell and taste
- Metabolism and blood sugar balance
- Immunity
When an individual is deficient in zinc, it often manifests as frequent colds and infections, suppressed appetite, depression, hindered growth in children and impaired sense of taste and smell. According to the George Matelijan Foundation, adequate zinc intake can help prevent and/or heal the following conditions:
- Acne

- Alopecia
- Alzheimer's disease
- Anorexia nervosa
- Atopic dermatitis
- Benign prostatic hypertrophy
- Cervical dysplasia
- Common cold
- Crohn's disease
- Diabetes
- Epilepsy
- Graves' disease
- Herpes simplex
- HIV/AIDS
- Infertility (male)
- Inflammatory bowel diseases
- Influenza
- Macular degeneration
- Osteoarthritis
- Osteoporosis
- PMS
- Psoriasis
- Rheumatoid arthritis
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Senile cataracts

A zinc-rich diet
As we age, it becomes more difficult to absorb zinc properly. Vegetarians are also at risk due to the fact that meat provides a highly bioavailable form of the mineral. Chicken, beef and seafood are the best sources, especially oysters.Vegetarian diets also tend to be high in zinc blocking phytates found in grains, legumes, nuts and seeds. Research has shown that fermenting whole grains, as in traditional sourdough bread, significantly increases zinc absorption. Soaking beans, nuts and seeds assists in the bioavalibility of the mineral too. DCA shown to kill cancer cells, but Big Pharma has no interest in this inexpensive potential cure
DCA shown to kill cancer cells, but Big Pharma has no interest in this inexpensive potential cure
(NaturalNews) A doctor and professor of medicine at the University of Alberta in Canada claims to have identified a novel substance that he says demonstrably kills cancer cells without causing harmful side effects and yet costs just pennies a dose. It is known as dichloroacetic acid, or DCA, and Dr. Evangelos Michelakis, M.D., believes it could be the next breakthrough treatment in the fight against cancer, that is if a government entity or pharmaceutical company would ever be willing to put forth appropriate funding for human clinical trials.
But this is unlikely to happen anytime soon, as there is currently no patent on DCA, and thus no incentive for private industry to research its potential benefits as a cancer treatment -- it's all about the money, after all, not public health. And governments are likely to ignore DCA as well, even though the medical research funds they disburse are intended for this very type of research, which is otherwise overlooked by the private sector in favor of more profitable undertakings.
But that has not stopped Dr. Michelakis from conducting his own research on animals, which thus far has shown some promising outcomes in targeting cancer cells and tumors. A recent report aired by CTV News in Canada explains how DCA, a drug that has actually been around for quite a while, is finding new vigor as an effective cancer treatment. What has long been used as a treatment merely for certain rare medical conditions could also be a, dare we say it, cure for cancer.
Based on initial trials, mice intentionally bred with certain human cancers responded positively to DCA when it was added to their drinking water. Brain, breast and lung tumors, it turns out, shrunk by an astounding 70 percent after just three weeks of treatment with DCA. And according to Dr. Michelakis, the drug compound did not cause any harmful side effects, leaving fully intact healthy cells and other tissues that are otherwise damaged by conventional chemotherapy or radiation treatments.
Not only this, but DCA also appears to help reanimate the energy-producing mechanisms found in healthy cells, which are known as mitochondria, giving them new life. Once activated and brought up to speed, these mitochondria elicit new abilities to trigger cancer apoptosis, or cancer cells essentially committing suicide on their own.
"These kinds of results, in my mind, are as good as it gets," stated Dr. Michelakis to CTV News about his findings. "We hope that we can attract the interest of universities here in Canada and in the United States."
"This is exactly what we want is a drug that has activity, and that also has minimal side effects for patients," added Dr. Dario Altieri from the University of Massachusetts about the promising benefits of DCA.

Cheap, effective and patent-free means Big Pharma isn't interested
What it would take, according to general estimates, is about $100 million dollars and many years' worth of testing and trials to get DCA approved as an officially recognized treatment for cancer here in North America. Time will tell whether or not any of this actually happens though, as the pharmaceutical industry keeps a pretty tight lid on anything having to do with cancer treatments, since the cancer industry is a multi-billion dollar profit machine."This is exactly what we want is a drug that has activity, and that also has minimal side effects for patients," added Dr. Dario Altieri from the University of Massachusetts about the promising benefits of DCA.

High school textbooks covertly altered to teach false interpretation of the Bill of Rights
High school textbooks covertly altered to teach false interpretation of the Bill of Rights
(NaturalNews) The so-called "agents of change" have long used the public school system as a means of imposing their views. But in recent years, the governing masterminds have stepped up their efforts, and they have become more brazen.
One such recent effort: purposefully misrepresenting some of the Constitution's first 10 amendments in students' "history" textbooks.
When you can't compete in the realm of ideas, change the rules - and the 'facts'
According to Breitbart News:
The authors of United States History: Preparing for the Advanced Placement Examination have taken it upon themselves to change the Constitution of the United States. The high school textbook contains a summary of each Amendment that alters the initial intent in which they were created.
The "interpretation" of the Second Amendment stands out in particular: "The people have a right to keep and bear arms in a state militia."
Well, as most readers know, the Second Amendment actually says: "A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
More from Breitbart News:
Guyer High School and numerous others have assigned the book for an "Advanced Placement History" course. By assigning anti-factual literature, the only advanced placement the school has ensured for their students is in the world of biased academia.
It's a shame that parents increasingly have to check grade and high school textbooks to ensure historical accuracy - but that's what happens when you remove civics courses from primary school curriculum. A population that does not know its basic rights will never implore government to respect them, and that, of course, is the point of the masterminds.
John Whitehead, a constitutional attorney and author who founded the libertarian-leaning Rutherford Institute, wrote of this worsening threat recently, noting that it is now embodied in the so-called "Common Core" education curriculum being forced on states:
Those who founded America believed that an educated citizenry knowledgeable about their rights was the surest means of preserving freedom. If so, then the inverse should also hold true: that the surest way for a government to maintain its power and keep the citizenry in line is by rendering them ignorant of their rights and unable to think for themselves.
'Let him ask his question!'
He correctly points out that, in order to effect the kind of social change the power mongers seek, you must start early - and what better place than the public school system:
Essentially, these standards, which were developed through a partnership between big government and corporations, in the absence of any real input from parents or educators with practical, hands-on classroom experience, and are being rolled out in 45 states and the District of Columbia, will create a generation of test-takers capable of little else, molded and shaped by the federal government and its corporate allies into what it considers to be ideal citizens.
Whitehead goes on to mention that, recently, 46-year-old Robert Small was forcibly removed from a local school board meeting near Baltimore when he stood up to protest the Common Core. Small, who has two kids in local schools, was then arrested by an off-duty police officer who was working as a security guard and charged with resisting arrest and assaulting an officer. He faces 10 years in prison if convicted.
As he was being forcibly removed, to surrounding gasps from the audience (whom the school board took only preselected questions from), Small, as seen in this video of the event, said to the crowd, "Don't stand for this. You are sitting here like cattle! Is this America?"
One woman shouted twice, "Let him ask his question!"

10 easy, natural remedies for conquering the common cold
10 easy, natural remedies for conquering the common cold
(NaturalNews) Persistent coughing, runny nose, stuffed up sinuses, headaches -- these are among the many symptoms that can drag you down and leave you feeling helpless to make it through your day and fulfill your responsibilities when you catch a cold virus. But rather than reach for those chemical-laden cough syrups and mind-numbing antihistamines, why not instead try one or more of these 10 natural remedies for conquering the common cold?
1) Vitamin D. Vitamin D is perhaps the most overlooked, and yet arguably one of the most effective, remedies for treating the common cold. Although it works better as a preventive regimen, taking higher than normal doses of vitamin D3 daily -- some experts recommend taking 10,000 international units (IU) or more of vitamin D3 every day -- can help reduce cold and flu symptoms and get you back to normal health much more quickly than without them. (http://www.lef.org)
2) Apple cider vinegar. Cold viruses tend to put the body into an overly acidic state, which makes it that much more difficult for the immune system to fight disease. But taking apple cider vinegar, a powerful alkalizing food, will help not only kill a cold but also squash its miserable symptoms. Mixing a few tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with warm water, honey, and lemon, and drinking the concoction several times a day will have you back to health in no time. (http://www.rd.com/slideshows/8-health-benefits-of-apple-cider-vinegar/)
3) Vitamin C. A powerful immune booster, vitamin C is a go-to remedy for both preventing and treating colds. Some experts recommend taking up to 2,000 milligrams (mg) or more of non-genetically-modified (non-GMO) ascorbic acid or sodium ascorbate every two hours while suffering cold symptoms. Other vitamin C options include camu camu and acerola cherry powders, as well as "liposomal" vitamin C preparations. (http://www.naturalnews.com/034591_vitamin_C_mega-dose_healing.html)
4) Honey. A powerful soothing and healing agent, raw honey from untainted bees can go a long way in boosting immunity and treating cold symptoms. Its diverse array of antioxidant, antiviral, and antibacterial nutrients make honey an excellent cold medicine that mixes well with other cold remedies such as apple cider vinegar and lemon. (http://www.naturalnews.com)
5) Ginger. Another powerful, soothing agent, ginger root is a powerful healer with amazing anti-inflammatory properties. Because it targets stomach upset, those suffering from cold symptoms that involve digestion can experience dramatic relief from taking ginger. Ginger also helps warm the body, which is highly effective at promoting perspiration and the expelling of toxins and other harmful invaders. (http://www.naturalnews.com/030318_cinnamon_colds.html)
6) Zinc. Often sold in syrup or lozenge form for such purposes, zinc has been scientifically shown to help combat the sniffling, sneezing, and coughing symptoms typically associated with colds. Zinc is also a powerful immune-boosting trace element that facilitates the proper function of more than 3,000 proteins in the body, as well as the promotion of healthy digestive function, which is where the bulk of immunity lies. (http://renegadehealth.com/blog/2011/03/16/zinc-keystone-to-immunity)
7) Echinacea. A 2007 study out of the University of Connecticut found that supplementing with echinacea herb not only reduces your chances of developing a cold by more than 50 percent, but can also shorten the duration of cold symptoms by several days. Because it stimulates the immune system and promotes the activation of T-cells, echinacea is an excellent cold remedy, especially when combined with many of the other remedies listed in this report. (http://natsci.edgewood.edu)
8) Neti pot. If stuffed-up sinuses are one of your primary ailments, using a neti pot to clear them out is an easy, natural way to help you get back on your feet. Just fill a sanitized neti pot with warm water and about one teaspoon of sea salt, and gently pour it down your sinuses. Besides clearing out your nasal passages, the cleansing salts will also help eliminate bacteria and other harmful pathogens. (http://www.naturalnews.com/029600_neti_pot_sinus_infections.html)
9) Oil of oregano. Rich in four specific groups of chemicals that synergistically promote healing and strong immunity, essential oil of oregano is unparalleled in its ability to both prevent harmful viruses from taking hold, and eradicating existing viruses such as the common cold. The natural terpene chemicals found in oil or oregano exhibit powerful antiviral and anti-inflammatory activity, while carvacrol, the primary active ingredient in oil of oregano, fight off harmful pathogens. (http://www.naturalnews.com/024685_oregano_oil_of.html)
10) Coconut oil. This elixir from the coconut palm is one of the most powerful, natural antiviral compounds known to man. Coconut oil has an amazing ability to target virtually any virus, including cold viruses. Rich in medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs), coconut oil absorbs directly into viral cells where it breaks apart and disintegrates the protective coating of the virus, effectively killing it. Take a tablespoon or two daily of extra virgin coconut oil, particularly at the onset of cold symptoms, can effectively thwart the virus from taking hold and running its course.
Blood donations from people vaccinated against HPV may be harmful to recipients
Blood donations from people vaccinated against HPV may be harmful to recipients
(NaturalNews) A shocking new report reveals that receiving blood donated from someone vaccinated with Gardasil, the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) vaccine, may be downright dangerous to your health.
S.A.N.E. Vax, Inc., contracted with an independent lab which tested 13 Gardasil vials from 13 different lots from all over the world and found that the genetically modified HPV DNA strands present in Gardasil had firmly attached to the vaccination's aluminum adjuvant in a whopping 100% of the samples tested.
While natural HPV DNA does not stay in the bloodstream long, the aluminum binding allows the genetically modified recombinant HPV DNA (rDNA) to behave differently, potentially entering cells and wreaking havoc.
The vials were analyzed after a concerned parent contacted S.A.N.E. Vax, because her 13-year-old daughter developed an auto-immune reaction that would later be diagnosed as acute juvenile rheumatoid arthritis within 24 hours after receiving her third Gardasil vaccine. Two years following the incident, the girl's blood still tested positive for HPV DNA that should not be there. In fact, these strands have also been found in post-mortem samples as well, as in the case of teen Jasmine Renata, who died inexplicably in her sleep six months after receiving a Gardasil shot.
S.A.N.E. Vax points out that both Merck, the pharmaceutical company that manufactures Gardasil, and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) claimed there was no viral DNA in Gardasil at the time of its "fast-tracked" approval. Milford Hospital Pathologist Dr. Sin Hang Lee, who analyzed the Gardasil vials, testified, "Undegraded viral and plasmid DNA fragments are known to activate macrophages, causing them to release tumor necrosis factor, a myocardial depressant which can induce lethal shock in animals and humans."
NaturalNews has previously reported that, by injecting a vaccine, any potentially toxic ingredients therein become much more harmful, because they are allowed to bypass the natural protections of the respiratory system and digestive tract. Dr. Lee noted, "DNA in an injectable protein-based vaccine may increase the risk of autoimmune disorders and gene mutation which may lead to malignancies."
Both Merck and the FDA should have been aware of this risk, but in fact, according to the official prescribing information for Gardasil, the vaccine "has not been evaluated for the potential to cause carcinogenicity or genotoxicity." Anyone who receives the Gardasil shot or allows administration to their children is taking a huge auto-immune disorder and/or cancer risk.
Vactruth's Sandy Lunoe wrote the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to ask about the potential dangers of blood transfusion recipients taking a Gardasil shot; the CDC responded that "the presence of DNA fragments is expected" and "Vaccination with Gardasil provides no known risk to the blood recipients or the blood donor." Lunoe notes that the CDC gave no evidence to support this statement.
As of August 2013, S.A.N.E. Vax reports that HPV vaccines have caused over 30,000 adverse reactions, including 6,154 cases where the recipient did not recover, 975 cases where the recipient was disabled and 139 deaths. The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program has already awarded nearly $6 million in damages to Gardasil victims.
Despite the mounting evidence that Gardasil is dangerous, the FDA continues to maintain that Gardasil is safe and effective, and the National Institutes of Health even recently awarded the University of California nearly $550,000 to study new propaganda campaigns for pushing the shot on low-income minority parents.
This is also despite the fact that HPV itself does not cause cervical cancer. In addition, the CDC even admits that 90% of HPV is taken care of naturally by the body's immune system within two years. Key Gardasil developer Dr. Diane Harper has recently come out against the vaccine to clear her conscience, stating, "Gardasil has been associated with at least as many serious adverse events as there are deaths from cervical cancer developing each year."
In other words, thousands have been damaged by a vaccine that does not even provide any real health benefit.

Gardasil Adverse Reactions 'Like a Catalog of Horrors'
Tom Fitton, president of watchdog Judicial Watch, wrote, "The FDA adverse event reports on the HPV vaccine read like a catalog of horrors." Some of the adverse events include not only auto-immune disorders and cancer, but Guillain-Barre syndrome, paralysis, numbness, facial palsy, chronic pain, infertility, chronic fatigue syndrome and more. So many horrible reactions have occurred in the wake of Gardasil vaccinations that the Japanese government has withdrawn support and now requires the nation's medical professionals to warn patients who request Gardasil about the potential for adverse effects. As of August 2013, S.A.N.E. Vax reports that HPV vaccines have caused over 30,000 adverse reactions, including 6,154 cases where the recipient did not recover, 975 cases where the recipient was disabled and 139 deaths. How to heal cavities naturally
How to heal cavities naturally
(NaturalNews) The world is slowly waking up to the fact that, when you give the body what it needs, it can heal things we previously thought were impossible. A fine example of what is often deemed as an incurable health problem is dental cavities, but extensive research is now becoming more public about the true nature of tooth decay and the fact that there are proven remedies that can remedy it.
"[Tooth decay] occurs when foods containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches) such as milk, pop, raisins, cakes or candy are frequently left on the teeth. Bacteria that live in the mouth thrive on these foods, producing acids as a result. Over a period of time, these acids destroy tooth enamel, resulting in tooth decay."
There are a few problems with this theory, including:
• Groups of indigenous people who had fermentable carbohydrates stuck on their teeth all the time that did not brush or floss were mostly or completely free of tooth decay.
• Bacteria do not consume processed sugar or flour because of the lack of nutrients in them.
• Foods that bacteria like to eat, such as milk, vegetables, meat, fish and fruit, are not commonly implicated in causes of tooth decay.
So if the modern explanation of tooth decay is not accurate, what is actually the cause of tooth decay?
• Not enough minerals in the diet.
• Not enough fat-soluble vitamins (A, D, E, and K) in the diet.
• Nutrients not being readily bioavailable, and your intestinal system not properly absorbing them. The presence of phytic acid largely influences this factor.
Over a period of time, if your diet lacks vitamins and minerals from a poor diet and/or contains high levels of phytates (from grains, seeds, nuts, and legumes), the blood chemistry and the ratio of calcium and phosphorous become out of balance, which results in minerals being pulled from bones, causing tooth and bone loss.
So, the long-standing belief that sugar causes tooth decay is true, but as a result of it depleting nutrients from the body, not because bacteria eat it and produce acid that ruins your teeth.
Foods to focus on are:
• Coconut oil, grass-fed organic dairy (especially butter), grass-fed meats, seafood and bone broths.
• Organic cooked vegetables (soups with bone broth are ideal).
• Organ and gland meats, like liver.
Limit foods that are high in phytic acid, like grains, beans, nuts and seeds, as well as limiting processed food intake full of processed flours and sugars that upset blood sugar balance.
Supplements to consider are:
• Fermented cod liver oil - very high in fat soluble vitamins A, D and K.
• Magnesium - required to use calcium and phosphorous effectively.
• Gelatin - if you don't have time to make bone broth, this is a good alternative and is great for gums and digestion.
Now go get your pearly white smile back.

A fine example of what is often deemed as an incurable health problem is dental cavities, but extensive research is now becoming more public about the true nature of tooth decay and the fact that there are proven remedies that can remedy it.
The lies perpetrated about tooth decay
According to the American Dental Association, the reason we have tooth decay is as follows:"[Tooth decay] occurs when foods containing carbohydrates (sugars and starches) such as milk, pop, raisins, cakes or candy are frequently left on the teeth. Bacteria that live in the mouth thrive on these foods, producing acids as a result. Over a period of time, these acids destroy tooth enamel, resulting in tooth decay."

What actually causes tooth decay
Tooth decay, as researched by Dr. Weston Price and other dental pioneers, boiled down to three factors:• Not enough minerals in the diet.
The food remedies that can heal cavities and tooth decay
In order to restore the ratio of calcium and phosphorus in our blood, and to enable minerals to bond to our teeth, it is not enough to just avoid eating too many sweet or processed foods. We must also eat health-building foods, containing copious amounts of minerals and vitamins that will build a glassy hard tooth structure.Foods to focus on are:
• Coconut oil, grass-fed organic dairy (especially butter), grass-fed meats, seafood and bone broths.
• Organic cooked vegetables (soups with bone broth are ideal).
• Organ and gland meats, like liver.
Limit foods that are high in phytic acid, like grains, beans, nuts and seeds, as well as limiting processed food intake full of processed flours and sugars that upset blood sugar balance.

• Fermented cod liver oil - very high in fat soluble vitamins A, D and K.

Ginger may protect the brain from MSG toxicity, says fascinating research
Ginger may protect the brain from MSG toxicity, says fascinating research
(NaturalNews) For thousands of years, ginger has been hailed as a superfood for its healing properties that aid every system of the body. The oils that ginger contains are antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal, and ginger has even been found to inhibit cancer growth. Now a study has actually proven that ginger can reverse the damage done by monosodium glutamate, or MSG, a known harmful excitotoxin.
After injecting pure MSG into rats for 30 days, researchers found subsequent withdrawal caused adverse effects including significant epinephrine, norepinephine, dopamine and serotonin depletion. Low levels of these important neurotransmitters can be detrimental to health.
MSG is widely used as a cheap flavor enhancer in many processed foods. While MSG may seem tasty for the scant time that its on your tongue, every bite comes with a potential kitchen sink of negative side effects, including headaches, migraines, eye damage, fatigue, drowsiness, depression, numbness, muscle spasms, nausea, rashes, rapid heartbeat, chest pain, difficulty breathing, anaphylaxis and seizures, just to name a few.
Subsequent to injecting lab rats with MSG, researchers injected ginger root extract for 30 more days and were able to completely reverse the neurotransmitter depletion and brain damage that MSG caused. Not only that, but the positive effects of ginger were maintained even after scientists stopped administering it!
A wealth of independent studies show that MSG should be avoided at all costs. Also popularly printed on food labels as hydrolyzed protein, torula or autolyzed yeast, soy or yeast extract and soy protein isolate among some 40 other names, scientists have found that consuming MSG even in low doses can cause blood glutamate levels to fluctuate abnormally high and then stay there. Anyone suffering from a disease or immunity issue that would contribute to a weakened blood-brain barrier is then much more susceptible to the chemical seeping into his or her brain and doing damage. Studies have effectively linked MSG consumption to several neurodegenerative diseases, such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
In a 2008 study published in the Journal of Autoimmunity, researchers actually concluded, "we suggest that MSG should have its safety profile re-examined and be potentially withdrawn from the food chain".
As a cheap flavor enhancer, MSG holds more benefits for food companies than for consumers.
Despite overwhelming evidence of MSG's detrimental health effects, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) continues to claim the substance is "generally recognized as safe." The FDA admits that it has received reports from people who have suffered the adverse effects from MSG, but the organization claims, "However, we were never able to confirm that the MSG caused the reported effects."
Truth in Labeling Campaign co-founder Jack Samuels has commented that "the staff at the FDA are unbelievably fantastic in their ability to write in a way that deceives the public, but loosely based on fact. We refer to such writing as half truths. Read the FDA points carefully and you will see how MSG can be hidden in foods."
On the other hand, ginger's neuroprotective role can be added to a basket of healthful properties. With an oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) score of 28,811, ginger has an extraordinarily high ability to quench oxygen free radicals. After exposing breast cancer cells directly to crude ginger extract in a laboratory for example, researchers found the cells were rendered unable to reproduce. This treatment had the added benefit of leaving the healthy cells unaffected, something allopathic medicine with its chemotherapy treatments that indiscriminately target all cells, even healthy ones, cannot claim. Ginger is also a natural pain reliever, digestive aid and detoxifier. In short, it's amazing.
The list of ginger's health benefits - not just as a brain protector but as a full-body protector - cannot be overstated.

Confirmed by science: You really can change your DNA - and here's how
Confirmed by science: You really can change your DNA - and here's how
(NaturalNews) If you believe that you are at the mercy of your genetic code, great news, you're not. According to the science of epigenetics (the study of how environmental factors outside of DNA influence changes in gene expression), stem cells and even DNA can be altered through magnetic fields, heart coherence, positive mental states and intention. Top scientists around the world agree: genetic determinism is a flawed theory.
"The difference between these two is significant because this fundamental belief called genetic determinism literally means that our lives, which are defined as our physical, physiological and emotional behavioral traits, are controlled by the genetic code. This kind of belief system provides a visual picture of people being victims: If the genes control our life function, then our lives are being controlled by things outside of our ability to change them. This leads to victimization that the illnesses and diseases that run in families are propagated through the passing of genes associated with those attributes. Laboratory evidence shows this is not true."
Lipton's theory is confirmed by Carlo Ventura, M.D., Ph.D., professor and researcher at the University of Bologna in Italy. Dr. Ventura has shown through lab testing that the DNA of stem cells can be altered using magnetic field frequencies.
"It's like a time machine. You're reprogramming somehow backward with these cells to an uncertain state in which any kind of decision is somehow possible; even the decision to become virtually any kind of cell of the organism. And just think about the tremendous potential of this discovery."
He adds that two Nobel Prize-winning scientists discovered even "nonstem adult cells can be epigenetically reprogrammed backward to a state where they can eventually give rise to neural cells, cardiac cells, skeletal muscle cells or insulin-producing cells."
"An individual holding three DNA samples was directed to generate heart coherence - a beneficial state of mental, emotional and physical balance and harmony - with the aid of a HeartMath technique that utilizes heart breathing and intentional positive emotions. The individual succeeded, as instructed, to intentionally and simultaneously unwind two of the DNA samples to different extents and leave the third unchanged."
Control group volunteers who had low heart coherence were unable to alter the DNA.
The institute offers several free tools that assist in creating a coherent state quickly and easily. Two examples can be found here and here.

Top scientists around the world agree: genetic determinism is a flawed theory.
Curbing the genetic victim mentality
The DNA we are born with is not the sole determinant for our health and well-being. Stem cell biologist Bruce Lipton, Ph.D., discusses the important difference between genetic determinism and epigenetics in an interview with SuperConsciousness magazine:"The difference between these two is significant because this fundamental belief called genetic determinism literally means that our lives, which are defined as our physical, physiological and emotional behavioral traits, are controlled by the genetic code.
Changing DNA through intention
According to the Institute of HeartMath in Boulder Creek, California, epigenetics encompasses far more than just DNA, our environment and life experience. After two decades of study, the researchers discovered factors like love and appreciation or anxiety and anger also influence a person's blueprint. In one experiment, select participants were able to change DNA with positive mental states."An individual holding three DNA samples was directed to generate heart coherence - a beneficial state of mental, emotional and physical balance and harmony - with the aid of a HeartMath technique that utilizes heart breathing and intentional positive emotions. The individual succeeded, as instructed, to intentionally and simultaneously unwind two of the DNA samples to different extents and leave the third unchanged."
Control group volunteers who had low heart coherence were unable to alter the DNA.
Healthy cell expression and a quantum nutrient diet
If we want to nourish our bodies at a cellular level (and not promote disease), the institute recommends an abundant diet of quantum nutrients. When we are stressed or negative, our biological energy reserves are diverted from the important task of regenerating and repairing the body. We can counteract this cellular starvation by focusing on genuine states of care, appreciation and love. These positive emotions enhance our energy system and feed the body, even down to the level of DNA. HeartMath calls such positive feelings "quantum nutrients."The institute offers several free tools that assist in creating a coherent state quickly and easily. Two examples can be found here and here.

Cilantro will help detoxify your body
Cilantro will help detoxify your body
(NaturalNews) Unlike other known herbs, cilantro has a rather pleasant citrus flavor, and its essential oil was actually used in ancient Greece as a main component of perfumes. Even the Romans would use cilantro to limit the odors coming from rotten meat. There is obviously a lot more to cilantro than simply its taste or scent. It would definitely be wise from now on to eat these green leaves when they are added to your meals instead of simply tossing them to the side of your plate.
Cilantro, better known as coriander in the Mediterranean region, may be an excellent source of minerals, such as potassium, calcium, manganese, iron and magnesium, but it's an even more incredible source of vitamins A and K, as a simple 100g daily intake will strongly exceed the body's required need for such vitamins. Cilantro is also filled with important volatile oils and numerous antioxidant flavonoids that can help reduce LDL (bad cholesterol) while increasing HDL (good cholesterol) levels.
Professional herbalists have long ago recognized cilantro's ability to detoxify the body from heavy metals such as mercury. It basically acts as a powerful cleansing agent, as some of its compounds enable the cells and tissues to slowly remove these heavy metal toxins and then purge them from the body as simple waste materials. It is a known fact that people suffering from past mercury exposure will very often feel much less disoriented after taking adequate quantities of cilantro over a reasonable amount of time.
The Ayurveda system of medicine has always claimed that cilantro leaves can drastically improve digestion and most likely help overcome conditions such as Crohn's disease. These leaves also have cooling properties for those addicted to eating very spicy foods or salsa.
It seems that chronic inflammation plays an important role in neurodegenerative diseases. Throughout the years, researchers have noticed that people from the Indian subcontinent seemed less likely to develop such disease, because they consumed large amounts of spices such as cilantro.
Last but not least, cilantro's cooling properties can help relieve your eyes from burning sensations or irritations, which, for instance, can often be the result of excessive exposure to computer screens.

Cilantro can neutralize salmonella
A study published in the June 2004 issue of the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, demonstrated that cilantro was capable of preventing salmonella from causing ill effects. The researchers isolated a compound named dodecenal in order to examine its antibacterial properties. The entire team was surprised to note that dodecenal displayed signs of being much stronger than gentamicin, which is a common drug used to combat salmonella. Following the research, scientists have discussed the possibility of developing a cilantro based additive in order to prevent foodborne illnesses. The Ayurveda system of medicine has always claimed that cilantro leaves can drastically improve digestion and most likely help overcome conditions such as Crohn's disease. (NaturalNews) Depression can catch up with the best of us. There will be down days where you're simply not feeling it at all. People tend to have different techniques in handling depression. One of the most common ways people do it is by eating. The surprising fact is this: you can actually combat depression and its effects by eating! There are five particular foods capable of perking up your mood in a healthy way. Try these five and you can lose depression and its symptoms such as lack of energy and mood swings.
The top 5 foods for depression
1. Eggs
The versatile egg is known to be one of the most nutritious foods around pound-for-pound. The egg, most especially the yolk, comes packed with B-vitamins. These vitamins are clinically proven to reduce the symptoms of depression, because they are capable of enhancing neural functions. If the nerves are functioning well, you can expect yourself to feel good. Eggs can be eaten by themselves or they can be mixed with other ingredients to create omelets and other dishes.2. Fish
You might have already seen in advertisements why fish is considered brain food. This may sound like a mere sales pitch, but it is actually backed by scientific facts. Fish, especially those that live in cold and deep waters, such as salmons, tunas, mackerels, and sardines, have an abundance of omega-3 fatty acids. This healthy fat is directly linked to improved brain function, because omega-3 fatty acids, particularly DHA, are building blocks of the brain's gray matter. Plus, the meat of these fishes contains protein that stabilizes blood sugar.3. Nuts and seeds
Seeds such as pumpkin and sunflower and nuts such as cashews and almonds are known to contain high amounts of magnesium. This mineral can boost a person's mood in two different ways. It improves overall energy production and also stimulates the production of serotonin, a well-known natural relaxant. They also contain healthy fats and proteins that can boost nerve health and promote blood sugar stability.4. Green tea
Green tea is considered a health phenomenon, and for good reason. And now, it is also linked to the improvement of nervous health. Green tea contains the amino acid L-theanine, which helps in stimulating the creation of alpha brain waves. The stimulation of such brain waves can provide a calming effect while improving focus. And because L-theanine gets easily absorbed, the effects on mood are immediate.5. Ancient grains
Grains such as millet, amaranth, and barley are known to have more complex carbohydrates than their modern counterparts such as wheat, corn, and rice. Because they take longer to digest, it doesn't cause the dips in blood sugar often observed with the consumption of traditional grains. And with more stable blood sugar levels, moods tend to be more stable as well. These five foods prove that eating can be an answer to depression and mood swings. Not only are they healthy options, but they can also make for some really yummy dishes. Of course, the consumption of these foods should still be within dietary reason so as to prevent other health problems.

Antipsychotic drug researchers forced to retract study after switching 'before' and 'after' data
Antipsychotic drug researchers forced to retract study after switching 'before' and 'after' data
(NaturalNews) A Norwegian study that claims to have observed significant brain changes in mental patients who switched from so-called "first generation" antipsychotic drugs to second generation varieties has been retracted from the peer-reviewed journal BMC Research Notes. As announced by Retraction Watch, the foiled paper was pulled after it was discovered that researchers had literally switched their data sets and come to completely opposite and false conclusions.
The case study involved one 53-year-old male patient with serious mental illness whose brain activation and motor activity was monitored while on both a first generation antipsychotic drug known as perphenazine (Trilafon) and the more popularly known second generation antipsychotic drug risperidone (Risperdal). The aim, of course, was to see how each of the drugs affected the patient and how transitioning from one to the other might affect symptom management.
Perhaps not surprisingly, the team observed a mixed bag of changes in brain chemistry and physical function in the patient, with some apparent improvements and some detriments. Of particular note was an alleged observance that switching from perphenazine to risperidone reduced variability in the patient, which was seen as a benefit, while at the same time decreasing overall motor function. From this, the authors drew up a conclusion based on their findings.
Except for the fact that what the team observed for risperidone was actually what it observed for perphanazine, and vice versa: insert major oops. In other words, an influential scientific journal has once again mistakenly published a junk study that in this case was not simply riddled with errors, but is actually one giant error by definition.
"The authors have retracted this article as the fMRI data presented in the case report are incorrect," states the official retraction notice. "The activation data reported for session 1 are the activation data for session 2 and vice versa. As a result the discussion and conclusions of the case report are based on the wrong set of data and are no longer valid."
The original published abstract for this now-retracted study can be seen here:
http://www.biomedcentral.com/1756-0500/6/182/
Published in the open-access journal PLOS ONE, this new analysis of retraction trend data reveals a roughly ten-fold increase in paper retractions since the early 2000s, despite only a 44 percent increase in the number of published papers during this same time. None of this bodes well for the future of scientific research, of course, nor does it in any way reinforce the already crumbling public trust in the peer-review and publishing process.
"Science has very much turned into a high-stakes competitive business," writes Ashutosh Jogalekar in a piece for Scientific American about this endemic rise in paper retractions, which evidently are mostly due to fraud rather than unanticipated error. "It should go without saying that these kinds of pressures are going to do nothing to dissuade researchers from tweaking a few experimental parameters here, adding a data point to the graph there; all for the sake of getting their papers into high-impact journals, ensuring tenure, awards and fame."

Study retractions on the rise, claims study (ironically)
It would be one thing if this were an isolated incidence of insufferable oversight, something that almost never occurs under the watch of all those "gold standard" scientists who are constantly bemoaning what they see as a lack of credible evidence that natural cures, for instance, actually work. But flawed studies are published all the time and increasingly so according to a new review of retraction trends.Published in the open-access journal PLOS ONE, this new analysis of retraction trend data reveals a roughly ten-fold increase in paper retractions since the early 2000s, despite only a 44 percent increase in the number of published papers during this same time. Bottled water found to contain over 24,000 chemicals, including endocrine disruptors
Bottled water found to contain over 24,000 chemicals, including endocrine disruptors
(NaturalNews) Widespread consumer demand for plastic products that are free of the hormone-disrupting chemical bisphenol-A (BPA) has led to some significant positive changes in the way that food, beverage and water containers are manufactured. But a new study out of Germany has found that thousands of other potentially harmful chemicals are still leeching from plastic products into food and beverages, including an endocrine-disrupting chemical (EDC) known as di(2-ethylhexyl) fumarate, or DEHF, that is completely unregulated.
Martin Wagner and his colleague, Jorg Oehlmann, from the Goethe University Frankfurt, in conjunction with a team of researchers from the German Federal Institute of Hydrology, learned this after conducting tests on 18 different bottled water products to look for the presence of EDCs. Using an advanced combination of bioassay work and high-resolution mass spectrometry, the team identified some 24,520 different chemicals present in the tested water.
But of major concern, and the apparent underpinning of the study's findings, was DEHF, a plasticizer chemical that is used to make plastic bottles more flexible. According to reports, DEHF was clearly identified in the tested water as the most consistent and obvious culprit causing anti-estrogenic activity. Despite trace amounts of more than 24,000 other potentially damaging chemicals, DEHF stood out as the only possible EDC capable of inducing this particular observed activity, a highly concerning observation.
The study's published abstract explains that 13 of the 18 bottled water products tested exhibited "significant" anti-estrogenic activity, while 16 of the 18 samples were found to inhibit the body's androgen receptors by an astounding 90 percent. Additionally, the other 24,520 chemical traces besides DEHF were also identified as exhibiting antagonistic activity, which means that they, too, are detrimental to the body's hormonal system.
"We confirmed the identity and biological activity of DEHF and additional isomers of dioctyl fumarate and maleate using authentic standards," report the researchers. "Since DEHF is anti-estrogenic but not anti-androgenic we conclude that additional, yet unidentified EDCs must contribute to the antagonistic effect of bottled water."
So while these specific findings concerning DEHF are groundbreaking, the overall conclusion to be drawn from this research is that far more study is needed to determine the types of chemicals that are being leeched from plastic into our food and water, not to mention the extent of this leeching. And since the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the rest of the three-letter government agencies will surely never get around to conducting this important research, independent science will simply have to take up the charge.
"This work is a 'tour de force' in identification of endocrine disruptors in packaged materials," says Bruce Blumberg from the University of California, Irvine, as quoted by Chemistry World. This type of analysis, he adds, "will be very important for our future understanding of what chemicals we are routinely exposed to and which of these pose hazards of being endocrine disruptors."

In the meantime, conscious consumers can avoid plastic containers whenever possible and simply use glass or steel containers instead to avoid these unknown risks.

Many thousands of endocrine-disrupting chemicals used in plastic production prove material unsafe
But DEHF is apparently not alone in causing significant damage to the endocrine system, as the team was unable to identify this chemical as being specifically anti-androgenic. What this suggests is that there is some other chemical, or chemical combination, being leeched into bottled water that is interfering with the body's chemical signaling system, which is, of course, responsible for hormone production and use within the body."We confirmed the identity and biological activity of DEHF and additional isomers of dioctyl fumarate and maleate using authentic standards," report the researchers. The majority of genetically engineered plants – corn, canola, soybean, and cotton – are typically used to make ingredients that are then used in other food products. Such ingredients include cornstarch in soups and sauces, corn syrup as a general purpose sweetener, and cottonseed oil, canola oil, and soybean oil in mayonnaise, salad dressings, cereals, breads, and snack foods.
“Most GE crops are used as sources of food ingredients and as sources of animal feed,” says Dennis Keefe, Ph.D., director of FDA’s Office of Food Additive Safety
FDA encourages developers of GE plants to consult with the agency before marketing their products. Although the consultation is voluntary
Based on USDA survey data, HT (Herbicide-tolerant (HT) crops soybeans went from 17 percent of U.S. soybean acreage in 1997 to 68 percent in 2001 and 93 percent in 2013. The adoption of HT corn, which had been slower in previous years, has accelerated, reaching 85 percent of U.S. corn acreage in 2013.
Insect-resistant crops containing the gene from the soil bacterium Bt (Bacillus thuringiensis) have been available for corn and cotton since 1996. These bacteria produce a protein that is toxic to specific insects, protecting the plant over its entire life. Plantings of Bt corn grew from about 8 percent of U.S. corn acreage in 1997 to 26 percent in 1999, then fell to 19 percent in 2000 and 2001, before climbing to 29 percent in 2003 and 76 percent in 2013. The increases in acreage share in recent years may be largely due to the commercial introduction of new Bt corn varieties resistant to the corn rootworm and the corn earworm
• Organic corn has 14 ppm of manganese. GMO corn has only 2 ppm.
• Real corn has 7 times more manganese
• Organic corn has 6130 ppm of calcium. GMO is stripped down to 14 ppm.
• Real corn has 437 times more calcium
• Organic corn has 113 ppm of magnesium. GMO corn is vacant, with only 2 ppm.
• Real corn has 56 times more magnesium
Led by Gilles-Eric Seralini of the University of Caen, was the first ever study to examine the long-term (lifetime) effects of eating GMOs.
Up to 50% of males and 70% of females suffered premature death. Rats that drank trace amounts of Roundup (at levels legally allowed in the water supply) had a 200% to 300% increase in large tumors. Rats fed GMO corn and traces of Roundup suffered severe organ damage including liver damage and kidney damage. The study fed these rats NK603, the Monsanto variety of GMO corn that’s grown across North America and widely fed to animals and humans. This is the same corn that’s in your corn-based breakfast cereal, corn tortillas and corn snack chips.
GMO corn was also found to contain 13 ppm of glyphosate, compared to zero in non-GMO corn. This is quite significant and well worth remembering.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) “safe” level for glyphosate in American water supplies is 0.7 ppm. In Europe, the maximum allowable level in water is 0.2 ppm. Organ damage in animals has occurred at levels as low as 0.1 ppm… At 13 ppm, GMO corn contains more than 18 times the “safe” level of glyphosate set by the EPA.
Types of genetically modified corn, soybeans, cotton and other products
Vegetable oils come from oil-bearing seeds such as olive, soybeans, corn, peanuts, cotton seed and palm nuts. Vegetable oils contain 100 percent fat, and they usually remain liquid even at fairly low temperatures
Vegetable oils, particularly flaxseed oil, nut oil and canola oil, contain omega-3 fatty acids, an essential fatty acid that cannot be synthesized within the body. According to the University of Maryland Medical Center, omega-3 plays an important role in the preservation of healthy heart and brain function and the normal growth and development of the body.
Adequate intake of the essential fatty acids results in numerous health benefits. Prevention of atherosclerosis, reduced incidence of heart disease and stroke, and relief from the symptoms associated with ulcerative colitis, menstrual pain, and joint pain have also been documented.
Some fats, like vegetable oil, are high in omega-6 fatty acids
Omega-6 fatty acid aids in reducing the symptoms of diabetic neuropathy, rheumatoid arthritis, allergies and high blood pressure. It eases the symptoms of menopause, in particular breast pain or tenderness. It is also good for the sufferers of multiple sclerosis, and it also helps those diagnosed with ADHD. Add eczema, menstrual pain and breast cancer to the list of illnesses and diseases that omega-6 is helpful for preventing or treating. A good diet will provide all the omega-6 fatty acids that your body needs
“Omega 6 fatty acids benefit the cardiovascular system, integumentary system, cell structure, brain and eye health and musculoskeletal system and offer protection to the gastrointestinal tract. Oils injure the endothelium, the innermost lining of the artery, and that injury is the gateway to vascular disease. The reality is that oils are extremely low in terms of nutritive value. They contain no fiber, no minerals and are 100% fat calories.” Caldwell B. Esselstyn, Jr., MD
This was a randomized controlled trial conducted from 1966 to 1973. Researchers from the US and Australia recovered the original data, and using modern statistical methods, they were now able to compare the death rates from cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, as well as all-cause mortality.
Maltodextrin is a nonsweet nutritive saccharide polymer. It is prepared as a white powder or concentrated solution by partial hydrolysis of corn starch, potato starch, or rice starch with safe and suitable acids and enzymes. Basically it’s a processed food FROM a processed food.
Applications include use as a carrier for synthetic sweeteners, as a flavor enhancer, as an additive for coloring agents, as a spray drying adjunct for coffee extracts or tea extracts, as a bulking, bodying or dispersing agent in synthetic creams or coffee whiteners, as a moisture holding agent in breads, pastries, meats and as a bodying and smoothing agent in puddings, soups and frozen desserts. And as a cheap filler for food products.
Production
Liquefying non-waxy corn starch in the presence of an alpha amylase by heating at a temperature within the range of from about 104
Maltodextrin is not a complex carbohydrate and, therefore, does not provide the long-term energy benefits of a true complex carbohydrate. Natural complex carbohydrates contain vitamins and minerals that help your body use the carbohydrate as energy. Maltodextrin, however, does not contain vitamin and mineral nutrients. Since Maltodextrin is a very large molecule, your body will use its own supply of vitamins and minerals to assimilate the Maltodextrin. This can potentially deplete your body of these very important vitamin and mineral nutrients.
Functional fibers are non-digestible carbohydrates that are isolated from foods. They are not the same as dietary fiber consumed in foods like vegetables, grains and legumes. On a food label they appear as Maltodextrin, polydextrose, and cellulose. Cellulose is a functional fiber that comes from oat hull fiber, wheat fiber, pea fiber, soy fiber and cottonseed fiber.
The fiber is most likely safe, although there are no studies confirming this. However, these are not the same as fiber consumed in foods. This is important, since the studies showing the benefits of fiber for a range of conditions from lowering cholesterol to regulating blood sugar, all involved the consumption of foods with high fiber content. There is no scientific evidence or reason to believe that functional fibers will confer the same benefit to consumers as consuming high-fiber, natural foods.
Side effects include allergic reactions, unexplained weight gain, bloating and flatulence. Specific allergic reactions associated with the use of Maltodextrin include rash, asthma, itching and difficulty breathing

After a single dose of MSG, Doctors discovered that specialized cells in a critical area of the animal’s brain, the hypothalamus, had been destroyed. Millions of babies all over the world were eating baby foods containing large amounts of MSG and hydroloyzed vegetable protein (a compound which contains three excitotoxins).
Rats given free access to MSG and water showed a high preference (93-97%) for the MSG solution, regardless of the diet they consumed
Rats treated with MSG showed morphological and morphometric changes as decrease in testicular weight, decrease in tubular diameter, reduction in germinal epithelium height, decrease in the spermatic count and abnormalities of sperms morphology.
Many studies reported the implication of (MSG) in cases of male infertility as it causes testicular hemorrhage, degeneration and alteration of sperm cell population and morphology

Doritos Pt.1
(1.) Corn
(95-98% chance it’s a GMO)The majority of genetically engineered plants – corn, canola, soybean, and cotton – are typically used to make ingredients that are then used in other food products.
(2.) Vegetable Oil
Soybeans comprise about 90 percent of U.S. oilseed production while 93 percent of soybeans are genetically modifiedVegetable oils come from oil-bearing seeds such as olive, soybeans, corn, peanuts, cotton seed and palm nuts.
- “Their analysis involved 458 men aged 30-59 years who had recently had a coronary event, such as a heart attack or an episode of angina. Participants were randomly divided into two groups,” BMJ writes.
- “The intervention group was instructed to reduce saturated fats (from animal fats, common margarines and shortenings) to less than 10 percent of energy intake and to increase linoleic acid (from safflower oil and safflower oil polyunsaturated margarine) to 15 percent of energy intake. Safflower oil is a concentrated source of omega-6 linoleic acid and provides no omega-3 PUFAs.”
- The omega-6 linoleic acid group had a 17 percent higher risk of dying from heart disease during the study period, compared with 11 percent among the control group (who did not receive any particular dietary advice)
- The omega-6 group also had a higher risk of all-cause mortality

(4.) Natural, Artificial Flavors and MSG
(Fake, fake and fake flavorings, these are all one in the same. There is not a single thing “natural” about natural flavors. Also known as:

(Excitotoxin)
- Protein class of substances that damage neurons through paroxysmal overactivity. They are toxins that bind to certain receptors (e.g., certain glutamate receptors) and may cause neuronal cell death.-
- Samuels (1999) reported that MSG is a neurotoxic agent i.e. causing damage to brain cells, retinal degeneration, leading to many endocrine disorders and causes renal damage.
- The best known excitotoxins are the excitatory amino acids that can produce lesions in the CNS (Central Nervous System) similar to those of Huntingdon’s chorea or alzheimers disease.
Rats given free access to MSG and water showed a high preference (93-97%) for the MSG solution, regardless of the diet they consumed

(Processing of MSG)
- MSG is processed with methylthiopropionaldehyde and sodium hydroxide which both are higly corrosive and toxic.
- “After the concentration of DAP had reached a maximum in the presence of the first mutant, the first mutant was removed and another E. coli strain was added.”
- “The crude, crystalline glutamic acid is first suspended in water and then dissolved, neutralized and converted to the monosodium salt by the addition of sodium hydroxide.”
- “The acidic filtrate was then adjusted by addition of sodium hydroxide or ammonia”
